What is Xi3®? In addition to being a company (Xi3 Corporation), Xi3 is also a completely new and innovative computer architecture designed to be a universal platform for any type of computer: from low-end embedded applications, to home and business desktop and workstations and to loosely and tightly coupled supercomputers. The Xi3 Computer Architecture is the most efficient, robust, practical and attractive design approach for supporting computer development efforts around the world.
Xi3 breaks the mold by separating the traditional computer motherboard into three distinct pieces, one for Processor and memory option, one for display and power options, and one for I/O or special connectivity options.
Think about the Xi3 Architecture as the computer's "DNA." The computer's functionality, or its personality, is controlled by its individual component parts. By changing the configuration of the computer's DNA, or its individual component building blocks, the Xi3 architecture allows computer designers to utilize a finite number of assets to create an unlimited number of results.
In turn, by using existing component capabilities, Xi3's patented design and Computer Architecture solves many of the problems blocking the progress of advanced computing. In other words, Xi3 technology gives designers and engineers the ability to do more.
